Director of Customer Service & Support @stellarwp I'll teach you how to do (and train) tech support that doesn't suck. http://buildsustainablesupport.com
Your customer support doesn't have to suck. No matter your position in the organization, there's something you can do to make your support Sustainable. It starts in chapter 1. My book is LIVE: benlikes.us/ssbook
Like 4 people see my posts these days, but all 4 of you should go buy 5 copies of my book in any format and gift it to a friend of yours in technical support. It's pinned somewhere around here.
Got all the helping with family surgery recovery stuff done in time for our home @starlink internet to go down so now I can't go catch up at work.
Things that have completely disappeared from my life since changing to a high fat, high protein, high salt, almost zero-fiber diet: - almost all gas - indigestion - constipation - high blood pressure (was the most immediate change) - pre-diabetes - all prescribed medication -…
It's just an absurdly good Friday to focus my attention only on the things that I can control to make life better and more pleasant for the folks in my circle of influence, while rejecting outright the lie that it's my job to worry about things I can't control.

It's still a great day to control what I can control, and make the people in my sphere of influence happy that I am in theirs. ...no matter how my day is going.
Here's the thing: if I'm going to open and eat a bag of some sort of flavored chips, they BETTER have flavor. I am not going to waste those empty calories on bland chips.
You know what's amazing? When your canned support replies are so spot-on that you get 5-star reviews from folks who specifically mention that their support was personalized and "not canned copy-paste replies." The takeaway is never "write every reply from scratch" any more than…

Kid that added the whole chapter of Ephesians doesn't even know how much he's improved the scripture memory interface for others. I immediately did the same and noticed that long verses were extremely unwieldy, so I added to the list some truncation and logic to scroll through…

My Scripture memory app gives you a multiplier for correct words in a row. First word = 1 point, second word correct in a row = 2 points, etc. A kid added the entire first chapter of Ephesians (614 words), and today I discovered that my handleGuessSubmit function didn't…
