3/ Design & Leakage Clause 5.2 clarifies that masks don’t seal tightly. Bypass leakage (air escaping around edges) isn’t quantified in the standard, affecting small particle filtration. The filtration efficiency in table 1 only accounts for the material filtration capacity, not…

Hello 👋🏼 I am a big fan. I just wanted to draw your attention this. There are MANY more studies like this now which are being carefully ignored. The evidence is showing that repeated Covid infections are dangerous in children (and adults). This cannot be ignored indefinitely.
COVID & CHILD DEVELOPMENT Yet another study has just been published showing the long-term impact of maternal COVID infection on child development. At 24 months: 🔎 36% of infants exhibited cognitive delays 🔎 64% communication delays 🔎 57% motor delays nature.com/articles/s4139…
Well done Canada!!! Sadly the UK Government/Healthcare authorities, NHS and IPC authors are lagging way behind you. As a nation we were once considered to be world leaders in this area, but now our reputation lies in tatters due to a few individuals who cling to old dogmas.
Section 9.6 (Guidance for healthcare facilities) says it all...
Good News! Canadian Standards Association (CSA) has called for universal respirator use in healthcare settings & when performing patient care outside of healthcare settings (eg – in the home) in the latest edition of CSA Z94.4, Selection, use and care of filtering respirators.
3/ However, major public health organizations such as @WHO and @CDCgov were in complete denial, saying that airborne transmission was MISINFORMATION! (Disgracefully, @WHO has not deleted this tweet or clearly stated that it was an ENORMOUS error)
FACT: #COVID19 is NOT airborne. The #coronavirus is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks. To protect yourself: -keep 1m distance from others -disinfect surfaces frequently -wash/rub your 👐 -avoid touching your 👀👃👄

Video clips that illustrate the WHO strategy to try and stop an impending AIRBORNE pandemic without using the word AIRBORNE….. They wanted to use their same strategy that they had gotten away with against Ebola….. “…don’t go into speculations….use the strategy equipment or…
If you want to see respirators in healthcare settings, please provide your comments on CSA’s proposed standard BEFORE 19 Aug. publicreview.csa.ca/Home/View/2256… You don’t have to be Canadian to comment. Once a precedent is set for Canada, it will be easier to roll out in other countries.
The CSA has put forward a proposed standard and if this standard is adopted, respirators will be required in Canadian health care settings by default. Your feedback can help. publicreview.csa.ca/Home/View/2256…
Question for @BBCHughPym on the @bbc5live @MattChorley show: There are now 462,654 studies on Covid, none of which say it is a good thing to catch. In the thread below are just a few of them describing the brain damage it causes. Are you aware of them? x.com/_CatintheHat/s…
COVID + THE BRAIN 🧠 There’s been a flurry of new studies published in recent weeks about Covid’s detrimental impact on the brain. This is the aspect of Covid which concerns me most, but which many people seem to be blissfully unaware of. So let’s dig into what we know… 🧵
The fact that FRSMs have a fluid resistant property is to provide limited protection against splashes, spurting bodily fluid & large (ballistic) droplets. They have NEVER protected against the smaller sub-100 micron droplets which are called aerosols which are airborne/inhalable
This may help... x.com/_CatintheHat/s… I confirm unequivocally that FRSMs are not, and never have been classified as PPE. Those Health officials, IPC people etc who called FRSMs "PPE" were at best mistaken, at worst lying. Either way, their fallacy most likely cost lives.
Here is yet another clip from the Covid Inquiry… …this time from Richard Brunt, Director at the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), explaining how surgical masks may offer limited protection against droplet transmission, but do NOT protect against AIRBORNE transmission.
A good question to ask HSE at their AGM (29 Jul). I have my own questions for them so can't, but anyone wanting to ask why HSE stood back & allowed this to happen can register for the AGM online here hse-agm.co.uk/home#home Then submit an advance question Pls post here if you do
One has to wonder why those who authored the IPC guidance published 13 March 2020 (downgrading protection for most healthcare workers from FFP3 to FRSM) did not know this? They should have - the 1 million+ HCWs trusted them. And why did HSE knowingly permit them to do this.
2/ New: Transparent Medical Face Mask (TMFM) TMFMs aid communication (lip reading, cognitive impairments): - Breathability tested on porous areas. - Addresses condensation, acoustics, visibility.
1/ Intended Use: Source control, Not PPE 😷 EN 14683:2025 emphasizes that medical face masks are primarily designed to protect patients by reducing the spread of larger droplets from the wearer’s mouth/nose, especially in surgical and medical settings. They’re not classified as…
0/ 🔍 What's new in EN 14683:2025? - Clearer design specs: Ensures masks meet consistent quality standards. - Defined use cases: Specifies when & where medical masks are appropriate. - Transparent masks option included: Supports accessibility for lip-reading & communication. -…
📢🚨 Big update for healthcare & community mask users! 😷 The new EN 14683 standard (v2025) on medical masks just dropped with key updates. Let's dive into the changes 🧵👇 ⚠️ TL;DR: Medical (surgical) masks are NOT PPE! They are designed to protect others, not wearers.
