Barrington Police remembers all those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 80 years ago nearly 160,000 Allied troops landed in Normandy on June 6, 1944. A total of 4,414 Allied troops were killed on D-Day itself, including 2,501 Americans. More than 5,000 were wounded.

Throughout #NationalPoliceWeek, we pay tribute to the brave officers who sacrificed everything in their dedication to their communities. Let us honor their memory by supporting those who continue to protect and serve.

Barrington Beach Closed For Swimming Effective immediately, the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has announced a "No Swimming" advisory at Barrington Beach until further notice. See Beach Closure information on the RIDOH website: health.ri.gov/data/beaches/
