I've had three bowls of rice today, and now I fully understand why so many people give up on "getting fit" when they go full chicken-and-rice mode. Eating rice is just absolutely dismal. Bland, dreadful texture, dries out the mouth. Billions of people eat rice as a staple. Grim.
