⚡️Not only do latest Department for Education statistics (published last week) show that use of care-less accommodation is increasing, they also suggest Ofsted and government are aware that local authorities are housing 15, 16 and 17 year-olds in care-less properties unlawfully.
This week I asked the Secretary of State to put an end to children in care being placed in tents, caravans and B&B’s with no support. We cannot let this continue. @article_39 #KeepCaringTo18 💔

In almost every long-running abuse scandal, it is found that people knew (or at least strongly suspected) what was going on, but didn't report it to the authorities. It is profoundly unsurprising that the Smyth scandal follows the usual pattern.
