Enjoyed listening to Cheteshwar Pujara @cheteshwar1 on @bbctms this summer? His wife, Puja, has written a book on what's it's like to be the wife of a cricketer and kindly donated a copy to the Library, a 21st update on the books by Frances Edmonds

After the excitement yesterday it's @MCCOfficial vs. Hong Kong CC, who have a long history & picturesque ground, below shows a notebook of scores of rivalry between Hong Kong & Shanghai, both teams were involved in a tragic boat accident in 1892, still a very active sports club

After Italy qualifying for the T20 World Cup I searched to see what we have on them (sadly not much) but is this the earliest reference to cricket in Italy from 1828? Found in an F.S. Ashley Cooper scrapbook @TimothyAbraham

A portrait of the great Sachin Tendulkar was unveiled in the MCC Museum at Lord's today.
After watching Adam Curtis's Shifty this book by @bendobson67 feels very timely focusing on the year of 1981, latest addition to @MCCOfficial library @PitchPublishing

They also visited the St Helen's Ground in Swansea where the Aboriginal team played, the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket did a podcast on it, please have a listen!

4th July marks another famous foundation, that of I Zingari, 180 years old today! The wandering club is one of the oldest anywhere in the world and still going strong today, founded by members of MCC, they feature in the oldest known photograph at Lord's.

Very poignant receiving a copy of David Lawrence's autobiography in the library today after the sad news of his death yesterday, his portrait by Tom Shaw hangs in the England's Black Cricketers exhibition with a black ribbon to mark his passing
