They decided his life was not worth saving. Not worth treatment. Not worth love. So they killed him. The Q has now claimed at least 12 lives. And more will die — because Q2, a track previously declared “unsuitable for racing” due to safety concerns, reopens for trials today.

At B Feeders Feedlot, on Bundjalung country near Warwick, Queensland, the dead are left behind. Piles of bones — sun-bleached, picked over — lie beside the living. No shade. No water. No dignity in life, and none in death. B Feeders calls it "integrity and respect".

Most of us question the stories politicians and corporations tell us. We know profit and attention shapes their narratives. So why do we still accept their story about our need to support industries built on animal suffering?

“Wagyu” cattle spend up to 500 days in feedlots before slaughter — starting right here in Queensland at Harrow Feedlot, before enduring live export to another feedlot in Japan. No shade. No enrichment. Just barren pens. These cows are forced to live truly harrowing lives.

The Queensland Premier thinks Queenslanders support greyhound racing injuries and deaths, are happy with the $44m dollars they spent on The Q, and that racing is an essential and fundamental part of being a Queenslander. ✊️ Show him he is wrong: animalkind.org.au/2025/06/26/cal…

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Racing QLD has suspended racing at the Q2 track at The Q over safety concerns—but too late for the 11 greyhounds already killed at The Q venue. This track must not reopen ✊ It’s time to shut down The Q for good. 👉 animalkind.org.au/2025/06/26/cal…

These injuries and deaths didn’t happen in an outdated, neglected facility. They happened in a venue touted as the safest in the country. The Q has now claimed at least 11 lives. These dogs deserved better. Take action now 👉️ animalkind.org.au/2025/06/26/cal…

Another weekend. Another death at The Q. Beau Ripple was not even two years old. After just five races, following his injury he was deemed unprofitable—and killed. His death takes The Q’s toll to at least eleven. Take action for greyhounds 👉️ animalkind.org.au/2025/06/26/cal…

The industry has abandoned its net-zero emissions target for 2030, with one representative quoted saying, “it takes a lot of stress off the farmers.” The Fed Gov says they are "disappointed" with the decision. No accountability. No consequences.

Trainers and owners: if you love your dogs, don’t race them at The Q. Ten greyhounds have already lost their lives at this facility. These deaths didn’t happen in an outdated, neglected facility. They happened at the crown jewel of Queensland’s racing industry.

💀 Seven dogs killed before officially opening. 💰️ $44.1m of taxpayers money spent as part of the $86m construction. ❌️ 'The Q' proves that there can never be any such thing as a safe greyhound track. 📢 Protest the opening of The Q 👉️ facebook.com/share/19TuKTyX…
Hooked. Tangled. Struggling to survive. It took rescuers over an hour to free them. This is the dark side of Qld's "shark control program", which doesn't make beaches safer for anyone. #netsoutnow 🗞️ Yahoo News, Monday 2 June
