I honestly don’t know how there is a single surviving Naval Aviator. Still less how this can be done thousands of times without operational losses.
1/4 July 24 2005. The Very Reverend Fraser McLuskey, MC, died aged 90. Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, he was known to 1SAS as the 'Parachute Padre'. Fraser was awarded his MC for his conduct in 1944 in Occupied France. His ashes lie in the Morvan.

This is *not* a recommended technique for airliners. It might look cool, but the wings are still producing lift, which takes weight off the wheels, which in turn makes the brakes less effective. When FOs try this, we have a talk later.
