outside of meditation, the most load-bearing for sense of self seems to be the sense of directionality of attention going from inside the head to outside the head (through the eyes?) mostly a combo of facial tension/eye muscle movement (feel out), the visual field changing (see…
during meditation, the most load-bearing for sense of self seems to be body sensation (Shinzen's "feel out") paired with mental images ("see in") of the face or body, with the images themselves and the pairing most often very, very subtle
Freud invented a field yet is often overlooked & mostly dunked on Who else is like this?
One of the most satisfying things about running FYNT has been seeing in real time how people finding and doing aligned work actually means further individuating! IMO, individuation is one of the most worthwhile possible things anyone can do.
I'm excited to run Find Your Next Thing again in July! FYNT is a live course that helps people find (or finally start) more aligned work. 10 days, $397, capped at 15 participants. If you're in transition and want clarity, direction & momentum, come join Find Your Next Thing!
"listen to your body" is all great but there is a lack of distinction around varieties of felt bodily experience impulse ≠ felt sense ≠ emotion etc.

nah it's simpler than that. formulating a question clearly enough is often the same thing as discovering its answer
nah it's more subtle than that. if you anticipate your problem being solved, you move towards solving it (psycho-cybernetics). having a context that draws you into such an anticipation and helps you participate in it and clarify what you want, is a real resource
working with the right practitioner at the right time is actually unreal, best value for $ out of anything in the world IMO
also, the format is genius the songs (musically) are already proven - they're hits & people love them! nothing to change there just make the lyrics funny, while maintaining the rhythm & feel of the original who doesn't want to listen to a song they love *and* laugh?
unironically very inspired by Weird Al 65 y/o, highly energetic, touring the world doing what he loves incredible vocal range, genuinely good lyricist, stayed "relevant" longer than anyone he parodied one of the people doing the most "them-shaped" things on the planet
One space left! If you are: > Feeling stuck > In transition (or expect to be soon) > Don't know what you're doing next And you want work that feels aligned (and doesn't suck) FYNT can help you figure it out in just 10 days 🙂

Does anyone have a good introductory Burbea talk rec where he discusses the concept of view, ways of looking, etc.?
one lesson that comes with age is that smart people are wrong just as often as dumb or average people, they're just wrong in different ways
