Parole Project owns and operates 40+ properties used for transitional and post-transitional housing. We’ve changed the trajectory for so many people just by giving them a safe place to start when they come home.
We believe safe, stable housing is key to the successful reentry of the men and women we serve. Learn how our organization is helping people transition from prison to prosperity: paroleproject.org/parole-project…
After 20 years in prison Keiana received her second chance. She looks forward to finishing the college degree she’s been working on now that she’s home.
Ronnie is a shining example of the power of second chances. We are proud to have him on our team.
Sentenced to life at 16, Ronnie Olivier “grew up in prison.” After 27 years, he was given his second chance in 2018. He is now one of our client advocates who helps others adjust to life outside. Ronnie’s story shows why reentry support matters. wwno.org/law/2025-06-18…

Thank you to all the folks whose numbers I don’t have saved in my phone wishing me a Happy Father’s Day.
Today, I voted in the obscure Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors election. There were only 300 paper ballots per location. Only 3 locations in Orleans. Voted at 8am but pretty sure anyone who showed up two hours later was unable to vote. Sad! #lagov #lalege

Recent Angola obituaries: An Army vet, Paul took his own life. In prison for 36 years, Dean died in the prison’s hospice program. A braille tutor, Gerald died from liver cancer. These men were more than their worst moment. They’ve done their time. May they rest in peace.

9 years ago today, my sister picked me up from Angola. Leaving that day, with the penitentiary in my rear view, I assumed I’d never return. Had not contemplated @paroleproject at that point. I’ve been back 100 times since then. I’ve lived a fortunate life, full of opportunities.

We get a Pope from New Orleans and Derek Carr retires all in the same week. God really does love this city.
We believe in second chances. We are Parole Project.

I was told I could not go back on @LAFirstNews until I received media training and/or dance lessons. Sorry @ReggiMarion
This legislation will reduce recidivism and improve public safety. Investing in people who are rebuilding their lives will strengthen our workforce and reduce what we what we spend on incarceration costs. #lalege #lagov
🧵1/ One of LABI's top priorities this session is HB 558 by Rep. Paula Davis—a bill that expands access to M.J. Foster funding for formerly incarcerated individuals. Here's why it matters ⬇️ #lalege #lagov #SecondChanceWeek
Thank you, @WAFB for this incredible story of love, mercy, forgiveness and second chances. Please take a few minutes to watch this story. @DioceseBR @GregMeriwether @SteveWAFB @FrJoshJohn11687 @andrewjhundley @DavidEFunes @coopcut @spikem68
Here’s a shortened version of a story that aired on @WAFB this week. We are so proud of Don, our board vice-president, and Marcus, our client who has been home for five years. Their story of forgiveness and reconciliation is inspiring!
