#Preprint DROP. Using looking while listening? This will interest you!! We compared the psychometric properties of 11 LWL outcome measures + #spoileralert FOUND DISTINCT PROPERTIES FOR DISTRACTOR VS TARGET INITIAL TRIALS. Need I say more? 👉osf.io/preprints/psya…
#icis2024 📢 come see my poster to discuss interesting findings about LWL measurements, particularly the role of infant looks being on distractor v. Target before noun onset. 🗓 Tue 15:45 - 17:00 No. P1-D-80.

Lately, I have been playing around with this infographic leaflet format for #scicomm. When folded ➡️ at a glance a title, a main message, & contact info/QR. Once the leaflet is unfolded ➡️ full-on #infographic detailing the main ideas of a topic. What do you think? 🧐

Today I had the pleasure of MCing the "Catalyzing #OpenScience at Concordia" event. Watch from minutes 18 to 26 to see me interview @nalessandroni, who leads the open science group at Concordia. youtube.com/live/Aj22zkOCy…
Look at this gorgeous #dataviz showing that the impact of family language policies on children's exposure to: French, English (majority languages in Montreal), a heritage language, and the balance of exposure between two languages, increases w/age! #WomenWhoCode

This morning at the reunion of the #OpenScience working group. This grass-roots initiative gathers trainees, profs & professionals from multiple departments to come up with recommendations to improve open scholarship @Concordia. Makes me excited 4 the future ! W/ @nalessandroni

I know I study babies, but that does not preclude me from attending amazing developmental talks from other age periods. Today hearing brilliant @ClareMehta talking about established adulthood. A proposed developmental stage with unique challenges! #millennials

I think my fortune cookie suggest you reach out to your friends who are parenting a bilingual kid and tell them to follow this account for fun science based tidbits! 😜 #scicomm #WomenInScience

Fancy writing a blog post about your research, @Dun_Mor @aureliejoubert @drfarahnazir @ASofiaChurchill @carodb94? The Strictly Language blog is run by Liv Walsh & @em_humps (whom you met at the #MinorityLanguagesInTheCity conference). Take a look: strictlylanguage.wordpress.com
What an honor to have presented my research at #SRCD23. A true thanks to my supervisor @Krista_BH and the whole KBH lab. Without their continued support, I would not be here giving my first talk at an international conference. #WomenInSTEM

#SRCD23 has been an amazing conference. If you want to finish strong, come see me talk about word learning models and bilingual data at 10:30 ! 😋🥳 tinyurl.com/2opxkxju
Amazing #SRCD23 talk by @ethankutlu about accented speech, racial bias, & bilingualism. Participants find the exact same recordings to be more accented when the face of the speaker is south Asian vs. White. But results are not replicated cross-culturally (no face effect in MTL ).

Amazing #SRCD23 talk by @DalhousieU asoc. Prof Ana Maria Gonzalez. Bilingualism is not only possible but might be beneficial for children with #ASD autism spectrum disorder. Bilingual ASD children retrieve more words than monolingual ASD children!

W/ @JessKosie presenting the results from a Princeton/Concordia collaboration. We looked at synchrony between parents lang use during a play session (e.g. Eng) and the kids language use. We found sync on 1-1 interactions, but not when multiple caregivers are present. #SRCD23

Made it to #SRCD23 . Excited to explore and share research on child development !

Today on TidbitTuesday, an interesting talk by Stony Brooks psych professor Daniel Klein. In childs' dev, passive (tonic) irritability ➡️ later depression & anxiety, and externalized irritability ➡️ ADHD & Disruptive Behaviour. Let's always pay attention to #children's emotions!

Are you a grad student or postdoc conducting language-related research? The @MolnarLab's second #LanguageResearchDay is happening on June 23rd! We want to hear about your work. 📣📣 Details and link to submit an abstract below!⬇️⬇️ easychair.org/conferences/?c… @UofT @RSIUofT
Today on #MemeMonday. Me trying to cutely convince babies to put on the eye-tracker sticker even though this is my 4th appointment of the day and I am destroyed. I think Ph.D. programs should be renamed: #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce
