Growing up in Youngstown, I saw what it means to keep going when everything feels stacked against you. That resilience is in me—and in the people I’ll fight for as your governor.

Being tested doesn’t rattle me—it reminds me why I serve. When challenges come, Ohio needs a governor who meets them with clarity, compassion, and conviction.

Last weekend I was honored to speak with folks in Defiance County & Geauga County. Day after day that I'm out on the trail traveling around the state I'm always amazed at how many inspiring people continue to turn out to fight for a better future for Ohio.

Vivek’s campaign is fueled by Wall Street. Mine is fueled by people who’ve had enough of being left behind. That’s the difference—and that’s the choice facing Ohioans.

I know what it’s like to grow up without much. That’s what drives me—to make sure no one is left behind. This race isn’t about politics. It’s about people.

I grew up in Youngstown, raised in 18 homes and even a tent—so I know what it means when Ohioans say times are tough. I’m running because everyone deserves a shot—no matter where they start.

When Ohio lawmakers pass laws like SB 1, it’s not just classrooms that feel the impact—it’s our future. Now out-of-state schools are offering our students what we should be: freedom, opportunity, and belonging. We can—and must—do better for Ohio’s next generation.

Vivek Ramaswamy parachuted into Ohio politics with a checkbook and a spotlight. I’ve spent my life here—serving, solving, and showing up. This isn’t a game. It’s people’s lives.

When a mom has to drive an hour to find a pediatrician—or a teacher buys supplies out of pocket—we’ve failed. Ohio deserves better. And as governor, I won’t wait to deliver it.

This Fourth of July, let’s remember freedom comes from caring for each other—through strong communities, quality schools, and economic opportunity. That’s the spirit I’d bring to the Governor’s Office.

Among the many things wrong with the state budget are the continued attacks on public education, teachers and retirees. Just a travesty, and something I will stand up to as Governor.

What a way to close out the month and EOQ! Two great events in Cincinnati full of people who are longing for something different. They want a leader who solves problems instead of creating them.

From attacks on health care, education and libraries, to the disenfranchisement of retired and active teachers in directing their own pension, to giveaways to Ohio’s wealthiest, the state budget is a nightmare for everyday Ohioans.

This past month has been filled with powerful conversations and unforgettable stories. Thank you to everyone who shared their hopes and struggles with me. Let’s keep walking this path—together.
