Talking any and all things basketball
It took months of watching games and writing reports, but my 2022 NBA draft guide is now complete. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. #NBA #2022NBADraft docs.google.com/document/d/1o2…

A thought provoking insight into how not all passes are created equally.
i spent the last 10 months watching hours and hours of passes, creating new metrics to evaluate playmaking. now 4,000 passes and 4,500 words later, i wrote about my process and what i learned about the 2025 nba draft with my most ambitious project ever: basketballinsiders.org/news/nba-draft…
As we've seen a rise in offensive rebound percentage across the NBA in recent years. My latest video looks into it, along with how the Rockets are a team that's fully invested in crashing the offensive glass. youtu.be/mREH-nbU71c
My latest video takes a look at the NBA buyout market, which has been career-altering for players historically, but if this offseason is an indication, could end up making a bigger difference in team building over the coming years. youtu.be/LrtNU7ZZqvA
My latest video takes a look at the rise in recent years of big men facilitating offense, and why I don't think it's a trend that will end anytime soon youtu.be/nXF8iCOGFXs
My latest video takes a look at the Denver Nuggets, who have done a great job of adding more depth to their roster so far this offseason youtu.be/lp08duwT7QM
After the recent offseason moves and discussion around smaller guards, I looked into the potentially league changing landscape, why it could be happening, and how it could impact some of these players on the open market with the new CBA youtu.be/S26-zN1cF7c
I took a look at some notable restricted free agents still on the market, why they remain unsigned, and how the new CBA could be playing a role youtu.be/6u_gfaarkLU
Is your team looking to add a guard in this NBA Draft? My video takes a look at some of the skills teams are looking for when evaluating the position, and how some of the notable prospects in this class stack up.
Ever wondered what NBA teams are looking for in guard prospects? After making a list of my own, I spoke with some people within pro basketball to identify those skills, and look at how notable prospects in the 2025 draft class compare youtu.be/8u229e4FYvg
Much has been said about the addition of Kevin Durant to the Rockets. Instead, I took a look at how this recent trade will impact the members of the Rockets' young core. youtu.be/y8tMoW_VdUk
While the Indiana Pacers have two All-Star caliber players, I took a look at how a few key members of their supporting cast have been making a huge impact throughout the playoffs youtu.be/eDe3m36A0CE
Prepare for tonight's pivotal game 5 with my look at some of the adjustments the Thunder incorporated to win game 4, and keep an eye out for more of the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander/Jalen Williams two-man game youtu.be/NLd1SFBTugM
Desmond Bane is not only elite in isolation creating his own shot, but also scoring coming off screens, where he ranked in the 92nd percentile on a per-possession basis last season in these situations In this clip, you can see a variety of ways he can score and create for others
This is why Orlando traded for Desmond Bane Last season, no guard was capable of creating his own shot consistently So they traded for a 26-year-old that can not only create his own shot but knock it down at a very high clip This move makes the Magic an instant title contender
The price for Desmond Bane might seem steep on the surface, but I take a look at why I feel Bane's an ideal player to add to the Magic's young core youtu.be/Je9LzCG43Nc
I don't know how to play solitaire, but while watching game 4 of the Finals noticed some adjustments by the Thunder that intrigued me and I discussed in my latest video youtu.be/NLd1SFBTugM
In my latest video, I a look at Chet Holmgren who got going early offensively for the Thunder in game 2, and also made an impact defensively in some ways that might not show up in a box score youtu.be/AA_m8a7tXwQ
Per the NBA's tracking data, Chet Holmgren primarily defended Myles Turner in game 1. Myles is often used on pick and pop or spot ups. Both would take Chet away from defending the rim, so I'm interested to see if his defensive assignment changes going forward.
A thread of some Pacers/Thunder stats from game one that interested me after doing my series previews for each team
