Chinese government took him away. Already 8 years stolen from us, for no reason. I miss him every single day.😔 And today, all I want is to hug him, hear his voice, tell him “Happy Father’s Day. I LOVE YOU DAD!” But I can’t. There’s nothing to celebrate. Just pain.💔
It's Father's Day here in the UK. For @NurKashgar, her father is detained. The official reason? He "might think of preparing terrorist activities". Read about Abdureshid Tohti xinjiang.amnesty.org/#case-SR026 | shahit.biz/eng/5399/ Follow @freenursfamily @shahitbiz Share this post

It has now been a full year since #MeToo activist and independent journalist Sophia Huang Xueqin (黄雪琴) was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. Her friend, labour activist Wang Jianbing (王建兵), was sentenced to 3.5 years. WE ARE STILL WATCHING! amnesty.org/en/latest/news…
#China #MeToo activist Sophia Huang Xueqin was arrested on 19.9.21. On 14.6.24, Huang was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for “inciting subversion of state power”. She should be released immediately & unconditionally. amnesty.org.uk/urgent-actions…
He never had a criminal record—not even a traffic ticket. Yet, he was detained and disappeared—just because he’s Uyghur. This June marks 8 years since he vanished. 8 years of injustice. I miss you soooo much DAD 😔💔

✊Today marks 36 years since the #Tiananmen crackdown - an event erased from memory inside China due to ever-tightening censorship. With public commemoration banned in China, it’s up to us - overseas, online, and united - to carry the memory forward. #WeRemember64 @amnestyukCEA
This report is one year old and is still relevant: amnesty.org/en/documents/a… "Chinese and Hong Kong students studying abroad are living in fear of intimidation, harassment and surveillance as Chinese authorities seek to prevent them engaging with “sensitive” or political issues."
Three years since the arrest of human rights lawyer Yu Wensheng and his wife Xu Yan.
Organising and mobilising in meaningful ways does not happen easily - but movements built with care and purpose cannot be stopped easily either. We are stronger together. Care about Uyghur rights? Hong-Kong activism? Tibet campaigns? Equality in South Korea? Get in touch.

Remember Seypidin Tohti. Freedom of religion is a human right. Many Uyghurs are still serving arbitrary prison sentences today and should be released @ChineseEmbinUK @FCDOHumanRights it’s an issue close to the heart of Amnesty activists in the UK as well as Uyghur diaspora.
