I did it. It took a lot of miles, countless conversations, and a deep belief in the power of unleashing AI. From Santiago to Okavango Delta to Melbourne to Amsterdam to Seoul to Mexico City to Antarctica, we explored the possibilities of AI together. Will share more insights.…

I have seen more adult summer camps, adult dance parties, and spontaneous activities popping up. More offline absurdism. We NEED PLAY in our lives. Hike in costume with the all trails app, join an improv class, pretend you’re a synchronized swimmer in the pool, role play an…
You can interpret any AI lab’s delay in model or system release to be due to safety evals, risk concerns, production gaps, rollout friction, leadership hesitancy, or strategic value hoarding. Could be one of these, could be many. Worth keeping an open mind about causes.
Welcome to the ever so fun Hedonic Treadmill of AI. I regularly close my eyes and imagine I’m 80 and woke up in my younger body. And I ALSO close my eyes, imagine I’m in the 90s with 90s tech and then woke up with ChatGPT and Claude. (Is that weird?? Makes you much more…
I just spit out my water, this is so funny. Fully reminded of the QA process we had at IBM to attempt every single edge case we could think of, and then STILL being shocked by real world issues (like pigeons standing in front of CCTV cameras). source: @howtokillanhour on…
Only 34% of US adults have used ChatGPT, according to Pew Research. Woman next to me on the train uses ChatGPT for her work as a therapist, mostly research, small tasks, and rewriting emails - showed her GPTs, image prompting in Sora (she wanted design ideas for her parents…

A publisher friend just told me an author removed all em-dashes from her manuscript because of AI. I follow several linguists on TikTok and Instagram, plus have a lot of friends in the writing space. We’re just barely scratching the surface on the impact of AI on everyday…

One of the more interesting UI decisions in ChatGPT is the lack of timestamps. It’s in the JSON, so it’s possible to add. Perhaps because the models fail more on temporal questions (“what did I say two hours ago?”) but the value of timestamps themselves feels big enough now.
Frequent AI use has nearly doubled, from 11% in 2023 to 19%. Daily AI use has grown from 4% to 8%. My additional (anecdotal) data points: leading enterprises seem to be at least 85% overall adoption among KWs, 30-50% frequent use, and 20% daily use. Source: Gallup, Q2 2025
