Enjoyed @ThatCatMacLeod's Blast Off, Starburst, this week's @PlayPiePint presentation @OranMorGlasgow today. Beautifully-written, time-bending exploration of grief and bereavement with a little astrophysics. Particularly liked the energy of Rebecca Elise as the younger Shona.
Travelling through to Glasgow today to see this week's @PlayPiePint presentation @OranMorGlasgow with a couple of my theatre friends. Looking forward to seeing Blast Off, Starburst, written and directed by @ThatCatMacLeod.

Great news for the companies and artists who have had to wait for money owed for 2024 Fringe - also that the winding up order against Summerhall Management over alleged unpaid corporation tax was withdrawn before Christmas.
NEWS: @Summerhallery reports that it has now paid all its @edfringe 2024 acts the box office income due alledinburghtheatre.com/summerhall-pay… Pic: @peterDibdin

This panto packs a lot of very enjoyable content into one hour!
REVIEW: Our @allanbw2 was at Augustine United Church for @happysadpro's panto: LITTLE RED ROBBIN HOOD. alledinburghtheatre.com/little-red-rob… "★★★☆☆ Clever" says Allan, of this mash-up of Little Red Riding Hood, Robin Hood, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears...
I always enjoy Christmas lights of #Dunbar at this time of the year. The individual components are put together with loving care and form a very random display, without any apparent masterplan to impose order onto creativity.

Planning to start listening to @FergusMorgan's A History of Scottish Drama in Six Plays this evening with A Satire of the Three Estates. I'm sure I saw this at the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh in the 1990s, but I can't find any record of it. podfollow.com/scottishdrama/…
Did the BBC’s Steve Rosenberg just call the President-elect of the USA “Donald CHUMP”???. Listen for yourself from 18:03:30. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/li…
My review of @genesisTP2020’s Men Don’t Talk, written and directed by Clare Prenton @ScotStoryCentre is now available on the @AllEdinTheatre web site. ".. provides an informative, witty, and often moving, glimpse into the work of the Men’s Shed movement." alledinburghtheatre.com/men-dont-talk-…

I'll be @ScotStoryCentre this evening to review Clare Prenton and @GenesisTP2024's Men Don't Talk, a dramatic exploration of masculinity, mental health and the Mens' Sheds movement in Scotland for @AllEdinTheatre.
My review of @ArtsCitadel's McScrooge, performed as part of the Scottish Dementia Arts Festival 2024 is now available via the @AllEdinTheatre web site. ".. an accessible, dementia-friendly pantomime, that can be enjoyed by all..". McScrooge : All Edinburgh Theatre.com

I'll be @AssemblyRoxy this afternoon to review @ArtsCitadel's McScrooge for @AllEdinTheatre. Written by Alan Mountford and directed by Mark Kydd, the show is part of the Scottish Dementia Arts Festival, 2024, celebrating the creativity of people with dementia.
Just as a change from my regular dawn photos, here's a sunset image, taken this afternoon.

Enjoyed @pilot_theatre's Run, Rebel @traversetheatre last night with my friend, Lubna. This tale of an Asian family in the UK revolting against an authoritarian father featured some fine performances and made great use of an interesting and very effective stage design.

Just caught quite a nice photo of Edinburgh Castle from the Castle Terrace car park with my phone's Night Mode.

I'll be @traversetheatre this evening for @CarbonTheatre's Bright Places, an autobiographical play about growing up with Multiple Sclerosis. I have a good friend, now living in Australia, with MS, so this will help me understand her situation a little better.

Another colourful Dunbar sky at 7am this morning, though I missed peak colour by about a minute.

Really enjoyed A Streetcar Named Desire @lyceumedinburgh. Great performances from the entire cast, but particularly Kirsty Stewart as Blanche and Matthew Trevannion as Stanley. Director @NewmanEJ makes great use of the revolving stage throughout the performance.
