A5. This is my first time mentoring and I appreciate that everyone works in different ways. I just want it to be a collaborative and fun process. #writementor
5. How would you describe your mentoring style? #WriteMentor
A4. The skills they taught me and the confidence they gave me in my writing made me the writer I am today. I didn’t get an agent from the Showcase, but everything I learned during the programme definitely sustained me and got me there in the end. [2/2] #writementor
4. Why did you want to mentor another writer? What do you hope you/they gain? #WriteMentor
A4. I want to give someone the opportunity that I had during the WriteMentor Summer Mentoring Programme 2022. Clare Harlow and Emily Randall Jones were my mentors, and they gave me such brilliant notes and advice. [1/2] #writementor

A3. Humour and scares are my go-to, but I do read widely in MG. Loved Clare Harlow’s Tidemagic & Piu DasGupta’s Secrets of the Snakestone. I’ve also just read proofs of Kristina Rahim’s debut The Doughnut Club and Peter Burns’ debut Shadow Thieves. Both wow! [3/3] #writementor
3. What are some of your favourite recent books? #WriteMentor
A3. I’m eagerly awaiting the next instalment of SJ Wills’s Bite Risk series and Emily Randall Jones’s spooky new adventure, The Scream of the Whistle. [2/3] #writementor
3. What are some of your favourite recent books? #WriteMentor
A3. My TBR pile is ginormous, but I’ve just finished and loved Jennifer’s Killick’s latest book Serial Chillers: The Witch in the Woods and Jonathan Stroud’s The Legendary Scarlett & Browne. [1/3] #writementor
