Fresh science! Check out our @ConfinementLab’s new paper on how confined migration can drive stem cell differentiation in @AdvPortfolio. Let’s do a thread! advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10… (1/n)
Congrats to (now Dr.) @GaoGerard aka Dr. Hotpot🥘for successfully defending his thesis on stem cell confined migration! Very proud of our second @ConfinementLab PhD graduate! @BME_NUS @MBIsg

Excited to be starting my research group as a tenure track Presidential Young Professor at the Mechanobiology Institute @MBIsg, and the Dept of Physiology at @NUSingapore in the fall! More about our work on vascular mechanobiology: mechano-medicine-lab.com
Interested in a #postdoc on cardiac #mechanobiology? Our lab has a fully funded position via our recently awarded @HFSP grant to study the biophysical processes that build insect hearts🪲🪰🫀 Come join us @MBIsg for some cool evo-devo-mechanobio work! 👇 mbi.nus.edu.sg/jobs/seeking-p…
It’s finally out!!🥳 Check out our paper in @NatureMaterials on a new hybrid scaffold where we discover ECM-specific cues that regulate cardiac aging 🔗 nature.com/articles/s4156… This is the lab’s 1st research paper, led by my 1st @NUSBME PhD student @AveryRuiSun🤩 Tweetorial👇
Congrats @AjayTijore et al! Happy that #confinement #mechanobiology can help address so many interesting questions!
2nd paper from Mechanobiologics Lab is out in Journal 'Small' @AdvPortfolio. This work led by my 1st PhD student Alka. Superb collaboration with @ahcells & Rudra Pratap @CeNSEatIISc. We discovered how confined spaces in tissue reduce tumor cell killing upon ultrasound treatment.
Interested in a #postdoc on nuclear #mechanobiology? We have a fully funded position in the @ConfinementLab designed to help you meet your career goals while researching the rapidly growing field of cellular #confinement. Please get in touch for more info!
There’s tons out there about fibroblast #mechanobiology in disease. In @ConfinementLab’s new review in @aplbioeng, Yeji gives you the who/what/where/when/how/why of mechanosensitive fibroblast activation, from CAFs to FAFs and nearly everything in between! pubs.aip.org/aip/apb/articl…
Just a few days to submit for the Sep 9-12 @MBIsg conference! Cool feature this year- a #HawkerCentre night with speakers and ECRs. Imagine enjoying Char Kway Teow & chatting #microtubules with someone like Sasha Bershadsky! Register here: mbi.nus.edu.sg/events/mbiconf…

Three weeks left until the abstract submission deadline for our joint MBI-MPI #mechanobiology conference this September! @MBIsg @maxplanckpress To early career scientists- be sure to apply for a travel award to present your work! mbi.nus.edu.sg/events/mbiconf…

Registration is open for the the upcoming @MBIsg @maxplanckpress conference in Singapore 🇸🇬 Mechanobiology in Time and Space mbi.nus.edu.sg/events/mbiconf… 📅Register by 31 May 2025 for consideration for a short talk and for early bird pricing ✈️Travel awards also available
BIG NEWS in @CellReports! Adhesion strength of tumor cells predicts metastatic disease in vivo cell.com/cell-reports/f… In this work, we show that a physical property - adhesion strength - stratifies mouse and patient samples into disease and non-disease subtypes. (1/4)
