Funny story. I just arrived in London. The gentleman at the airport hotel information booth asked me what I was here for. I told him: World chess championship. He says: Really?? You're the second person to say that. First one said he was a chess champion... Magnus... something...
Forgot to congratulate Hans Niemann with his 2nd place at the Las Vegas tournament.👏 This earned him a very impressive $140000 prize, which means we can play 14 more matches on Endgame!🍿
You had a recent match against him, what's your opinion
They say you should never meet your idols, but meeting Hulk Hogan made me admire him even more. He was so generous with his time and an inspiration not only as an athlete and entertainer, but also as a human being. He will be missed by us all. RIP Hulk Hogan 🙏
I'm subbed to 20 channels on YouTube, all chess channels. Learnt chess on YT in 2021 after Queen's Gambit, I must've watched near 10,000 chess vids since. I watch daily in any spare time while getting thru uni. Currently 2k FIDE. Ofc my first channel was @agadmator ;)

Thanks @lexfridman for another super fun & wide-ranging conversation. We talked about the future of video games, the nature of reality, advancing science with AI, the path to AGI… and quite a bit more as usual! Always a blast, already looking forward to next time! 😀

Congrats to Levon, despite the loss I’m very happy with my play. Had my chances but unfortunately didn’t capitalize. Great learning experience, looking forward to future Freestyle tournaments!

I just noticed that my friend @agadmator is doing a series of videos on some of my favourite @Kasparov63 games from the 80s, that I reviewed myself a few weeks ago. Here is this amazing game against Petrosian: youtube.com/watch?v=Zg3_zu…

Excellent finish, but of course the chess mafia is messing with the established chess terminology. A simple tactic is not a "brilliant move".
A brilliant finish by 🇺🇸Levon!

Thanks for the illuminating analysis @agadmator. It's an extremely good series, borrowing themes from the lives of Capablanca, Fischer and other chess champions. Among other things, shows what it's like to be in love with an abstraction. Can't say more because spoilers.
