Info 4 @HipposFans the Broad Jump is measure of plyometrics & indicator of speed. 3 @HipposRugby players exceeded the highest standards above 250cm. Tryzzy & Bright both scored a 257 but leading the group with a huge 260 is a new name for many - Bazinga - he is going 2 b fast!
Info 4 @HipposFans update on @HipposRugby player Rahim. Following a 2nd suspected concussion he was rested for 3 months. He had a CT last week & exam with a neurologist. He has returned to full gym & running & after further neuro tests a full return to play. Thx to @MuyambiJoel
Info 4 @HipposFans in line with all elite rugby sides; the rest phase is over & the grind commences. The first cohort of @HipposRugby players went through S&C testing this morning & I thought I would share our metrics b4 sharing a few early (in the rugby calendar) highlights.

Technical briefing 4 @HipposFans 6 players identified 4 a hypertrophic block - muscle building esp upper body. The 6 players will need to commit to 5 gym sessions a week & @HipposRugby needs to feed them every day 3000 extra calories + 300g of protein (40 eggs!). Info coming.

Final technical brief for @HipposFans Initial discussions are hopeful that @NileRapidsRFC biggest sponsor will return once governance is sorted out & we are clearly a CBO (Community Based Organisation). The sponsor (& others) will not fund a privately owned club.
More technical news 4 @HipposFans & @HipposRugby We have secured significant initial sponsors to support @NileRapidsRFC to bid to host a leg of the @NileSpecial National 7's at the home of Uganda Rugby - Dam Waters. This will help the women's team to build their finances.
More technical news 4 @HipposFans both @HipposRugby & @NileRapidsRFC will begin 7's programmes together this Wednesday evening. We hope the senior ladies can attend to take back the learnings to their main training on Sundays.
More technical news 4 @HipposFans Jacob Ochen the Beast from the East is back & was registered in the democratic @HipposRugby squad during 15's so is eligible for 7's. He has also agreed to take over from @Rujusss as our S&C coach & the boys start suffering tonight!
Technical meeting today; lots of news 4 @HipposFans @NileRapidsRFC will officially start the 7's programme this week & funds will be made available to facilitate the players; as we try our best to equalise what we do for both them & @HipposRugby more good news coming next week.
