Helping an injured opponent on the field isn't spirit of the cricket it's a fundamental virtue. The issue occurs when you base that as the spirit of cricket and equate with a gross extrapolation that things within the laws of the game should be overridden for social posturing. BS
About Pant's non striker run out incident yesterday, and overall the spirit of cricket, what Jarrod says here is what I believe in: youtu.be/4EhRd05cddc?si…
I was told it's fine celebrating wins at home but God forbid someone celebrates drawing and keeping yourself alive in a series batting 2 days being 2 down for nothing and short a full batter. I don't know precisely how the grapes taste, but they defo aren't sweet.
What a brilliant win for India this is, levelled the series at 2-2 👏👏
Yes, this. Brook does ick me a lot, like Bashir. Redeeming players in that side only are Root and Stokes for me.
Brook is really coming across to me like an unlikeable brat of a bloke. Shame because I want to like him, but behaves like a knob.
Manjrekar spitting lol "I think Indian team has done well in test cricket inspite of Gambhir's tactics, not because of him. Remember this team lost 0-3 to New Zealand at home under him"
By the way I picked this up during the game, Stokes doesn't really like Dawson does he? Clear friction visible between the two.
Hmmm I like Stokes a lot so it's fine. He's allowed to not shake the hands of players. Virat would've done similar shithousery.
Proud of.. Checks notes.... Leading a series 1 game against a team in transition with a full strength outfit at HOME ok

Do they not know how ridiculously childish this looks?
"This is a bit of a farcical end to what's been a brilliant Test match. The game is more important than individuals." Were India right not to choose to shake hands and end the game? #BBCCricket #ENGvIND
FFS 😭 Now tell me how's this help the reputation of the whing... P..
Spirit of cricket. You only play on if you think there’s a possibility of a result. Poor from India, they’d be up in arms roles reversed
India should play Washington at 3 and Sudharshan at 5 with Jadeja at 6 and Jurel at 7 next game. That way you get in Kuldeep at 8 and Bumrah + Siraj possibly and one of Akash/Arsh Deep
England have batted on too long. Should've declared after Stokes' hundred. Weather etc. See you all when Siraj and Pant shake hands with Stokes tomorrow.

England are literally giving away the ton to get off quicker. I'd say bat after the ton
Ridiculous by England. You can offer to shake hands and call play off. You can't throw your toys out of the pram if the opponents don't want to do that. Performative outrage I think, because did England seriously think two batters in their 80s would want to walk off? #INDvsENG
Just to be clear here, India are 1000% within their rights to play on. If there's any whinging it'll be absolutely ridiculous
Somehow my mind goes to Shannon Gabriel and how he'd field in such a situation 😭
I don't know what possible thing do England gain from producing road after road
