When ChatGPT and friends launched, my main worry was around accuracy and hallucinations. Now, my main worry is about the way AI will utterly demolish our intellectual capacity to think, learn, persevere and create. It is anathema to the great enterprise that is education. >
Carousel Teaching is basically this, but for classroom skillz 😂😂😂 Don't often get 2k+ likes for "ICONIC CLUTCH USE OF MINI-WHITEBOARD ROUTINES"

As others have said, the point of automation was to take away the drudgery from our lives so we would be free to be more human. Instead, it threatens to take away the activities that make us human. Worse, we’re doing so willingly.

Carousel Teaching is a beautiful thing. @adamboxer1 has really left it all out there on the pitch.
I'm proud of everything I've done in education, but today I finished filming the last of our new units, and I'm pretty sure Carousel Teaching is the best thing I've ever made. I'm knackered already, and there's a lot still to go. But I'm PROUD. carousel-learning.com/teaching
This has been standard visiting-edu-rock-star advice for ages, and it is spectacularly stupid. It really needs only a few moments’ thought and an elementary understanding of psychology to realise why.
oh my just had a flashback to the time i tried (based on advice) to "give the naughty boy some kind of responsibility" and I think that was both tactically and strategically one of the dumbest behaviour management things I ever tried

Ive been involved in reviewing and feedback on these units and I can firmly say this is amazing! It’s granular, actionable and easy to follow. I was able to take what I’d learned the night before and apply when teaching lessons the day after!

It was a tremendous honour to interview @Counsell_C on TBFM this week. She's been a huge influence on me, and her war against genericism has influenced the national and international picture. Tune in and share! 😍😍😍😍 open.spotify.com/episode/4UZrev…
Totally agree. Reminds me of the days when we had to try figure out if a student used Wikipedia or not! This is a whole different level. Genie is out of the bottle…
