Indian companies ask for salary slips not to verify skill, but to anchor your worth to the lowest number they can find. They don’t care what the role is worth, only what you’ve settled for before. If they can get you cheap, they will. Most accept it fearing they'll lose the job
today i learnt that it is very common for indian companies to ask for your previous pay slips while hiring. this is a filthy practice. it is invasive and it shows zero respect for candidate privacy. any company doing this deserves public shaming. stop tolerating this trash.
