In my Museum era ✨ | Brontë enthusiast 🌻 #TeamBranwell 💛 No need to hurry. No need to sparkle. No need to be anybody but oneself - Virginia Woolf 🦋
I had the best time yesterday delivering this month’s Thursday talk at the Brontë Parsonage Museum! ✨ A huge thank you to everyone who listened to me talk about Branwell and his Victorian biographical depictions 🪦#TeamBranwell 💛

Remembering Charlotte Brontë, who passed away on this day in 1855. Her literary legacy endures 170 years on, and she will be forever known💗💐 ‘There is no happiness like that of being loved by your fellow creatures, and feeling that your presence is an addition to their comfort’

On this day, the 26th of June 1817 Patrick Branwell Brontë, the only son of Maria and the Reverend Patrick Brontë was born in Thornton, West Yorkshire. He was educated by his father who also taught him to play the organ for the parish.
Happy 208th birthday Branwell Brontë! Who was born on this day (26th June) in 1817 🥳🎁🎈✨ ‘How like the chaos of my soul, Where visions ever rise, And thoughts and passions ceasless roll, And tumult never dies’ #TeamBranwell 💛

Deb's Daily Brontë I posted on FB yesterday about Branwell Brontë having many talents. Someone disagreed and asked what history books I'd read? Well this is one of them... #BranwellBrontë #DaphneduMaurier
"My appetite is lost; my nights are dreadful, and having nothing to do makes me dwell on past scenes - on her own self, her voice, her person, her thoughts, till I could be glad if God would take me. In the next world I could not be worse than I am in this."
Brilliant talk delivered by the amazing @_rosedawn3 tonight about the only son of the Reverend Patrick Brontë, Branwell. June is his birthday month and rightly so we should shine the light on him. @BronteParsonage #teambranwell

What an invaluable resource this thoroughly researched book by Dr Michael O’Dowd will be for current and future Brontë scholars written by an expert in Obstetrics & medical history. It questions the accepted narrative that Charlotte died of excessive morning sickness. Compelling.
Happy 209th Birthday Charlotte Brontë! Who was born on this day in 1816 💗 ‘The human heart has hidden treasures, In secret kept, in silence sealed;— The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures, Whose charms were broken if revealed’
