July 24th 1972- The U.S. Public Health Service “Tuskegee Syphilis Study” was exposed by The Washington Star Newspaper. The study withheld diagnosis and treatment from Black Men in Tuskegee, AL to study the effects of the disease. Known infamously as “The Tuskegee Experiment”
July 24th, 1972- "The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male" conducted by the United States Public Health Service was exposed. 600 rural Black Men thought they were receiving free healthcare but were being experimented on from 1932 to 1972 (40 years).
July 24th 1972-Tuskegee Syphilis Study was exposed by The Washington Star Newspaper. The study itself withheld diagnosis information and treatment from Black men in Tuskegee, Alabama to study the effects of syphilis. The experiment created the distrust and mistrust in Healthcare.

Tuskegee University 2010 The “Tuskegee Woman” is the epitome of what every woman should profess and progress to be in manner, intelligence, nature, quality, and esteem. This woman is to have true beauty from within her character that emanates and shines throughout her being.




Mozell Ellerbe of Tuskegee Institute (now University) won the 100-Yard Dash at the Penn Relays on April 27, 1940. He was the first Black American Male Athlete to come from a Black College to win the 100-Yard Dash in a National Track and Field Meet.
