Happy LGBTQ+ History Month 🏳️🌈🏴! I will once again attempt to post about a queer Scottish book/text each day (excl. weekends). Recommendations are welcome ✨
For #LGBTHistoryMonth this year, I have decided to make a thread of some of my favourite queer Scottish books/texts 🏳️🌈🏴! These are randomly distributed and I will be posting every day (excl. strike days and weekends). Feel free to add, comment, retweet! ✨
To mark #lgbtplushistorymonth we are sharing our collaboration with @EdMorganTrust. Alasdair & Edwin were close friends with much of their work connecting through themes of sexuality and love. Recently researcher @_domenicodr has been mapping these connections.
Next in our Student Stories series is @_domenicodr , PhD Candidate, and our Alasdair Gray Archive x @EdMorganTrust commissioned researcher. Domenico says that their research ‘naturally led toward AGA’s values; Equity, Sharing and Openness’.
Earlier this month Scottish Lit PhD students held a fantastic PG Symposium on 'New Directions' for the field @StirUni - many congrats to the organisers and speakers! More pics at the link. UCSL is now recruiting new PG reps, so please do get in touch... ucsl-scotland.com/2025/02/13/202…
It was great to present two papers this week at the @UofGCSCS and @studyscotlit PG symposia! Lots of fruitful and forward-looking conversations around the current state of Scottish literature research. Looking forward to seeing these papers published in the near future ✨

Happy Birthday Eddie Edwin Morgan & Alasdair Gray were 'friends, collaborators and (inter)national representatives of Scottish literature'. And, together with @EdMorganTrust we are delighted to be able to continue to celebrate their friendship & legacy.
