New paper!🧠**The cerebellar components of the human language network** with: @smallhannahe @MoshePoliak @GretaTuckute @ben_lipkin @agata_wolna @aniladmello and @ev_fedorenko biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/n 🧵
Thrilled to announce the 2025 recipients of #KempnerInstitute Research Fellowships: Elom Amemastro, Ruojin Cai, David Clark, Alexandru Damian, William Dorrell, Mark Goldstein, Richard Hakim, Hadas Orgad, Gizem Ozdil, Gabriel Poesia, & Greta Tuckute! bit.ly/3IpzD5E
What are the organizing dimensions of language processing? We show that voxel responses are organized along 2 main axes: processing difficulty & meaning abstractness—revealing an interpretable, topographic representational basis for language processing shared across individuals.
**ecstatic** to share our @iclr_conf paper: sparse components distinguish visual pathways & their alignment to neural networks, with @Nancy_Kanwisher and @meenakshik93 (openreview.net/forum?id=IqHeD…) 1/n
Check out @_coltoncasto gorgeous preprint on cerebellar language functions - a true tour de force that I was lucky to be able to take part in.

New brain/language study w/ @ev_fedorenko! We applied task-agnostic individualized functional connectomics (iFC) to the entire history of fMRI in the Fedorenko lab, parcellating nearly 1200 brains into networks based on activity fluctuations alone. doi.org/10.1101/2025.0… . 🧵
So excited for Agata's 1st paper from her postdoc! Highlights:1️⃣quite a few language-selective areas outside the core areas;2️⃣even this 'extended' lang network is only <1.5% of 🧠volume (~the size of a🍓);3️⃣responses during some "language tasks" may not reflect lang processing
Excited to share new work on the language system! Using a large fMRI dataset (n=772) we comprehensively search for language-selective regions across the brain. w/@aaronwriight, @ben_lipkin, and @ev_fedorenko Link to the preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Thread below!👇🧵
