Thanks @HowardCCox, great to meet you today to discuss how government policy needs to support motorists by keeping fuel prices low and reducing delays caused by roadworks.
Had a fantastic positive meeting with MP for Broxbourne @_LewisCocking discussing the #fairfueluk campaign. He is refreshingly pro driver and will be a great Parliamentary asset to the campaign. Watch this space. @pritipatel @EstherMcVey1 @martinabettt @ryansabey @MrHarryCole…
Out with @_LewisCocking After months of disruption, meetings with the Environment Agency and bringing the situation up in Parliament, the 'temporary' traffic lights on White Stubbs Lane are finally gone and the leaking sewage has been fixed. I'm determined to get @BroxbourneBC…
I have always opposed the hotel in Cheshunt being used to house illegal asylum seekers, and yesterday I again asked the Government when they will close it. People are fed up with their concerns about immigration being ignored - the Government needs to start listening.
Juggling family life, a full-time job and the responsibilities of a local councillor can be a difficult task. That's why I'm pleased to back @lgcplus's campaign to encourage more people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in local government.

Thank you to everyone who spoke to us in Hoddesdon yesterday. @BroxTories 💙

New statistics released today have confirmed this: ⬆️ a 17% rise in the number of people on Universal Credit since Labour took office. ⬆️ Benefits now going to over 1 million immigrants, most of whom are out of work. That needs to change.
Britain prioritises those who take over those who make. If we want to succeed, that needs to change.
This morning I brought my campaign against delays caused by roadworks to the @GMB studio. We spend 62 hours a year sitting in traffic jams, so I'm demanding stricter rules and harsher fines are put in place to ensure work is completed quickly and organised more efficiently.
Looking forward to discussing this on @GMB this morning 👇
Conservative MP Mark Francois wants stricter rules to stop our streets from being dug up too easily. He says councils should be able to refuse permission if disruption is too high. So, do we need tougher rules on roadworks?
The right infrastructure must be in place before new housing is built. But the Planning and Infrastructure Bill completely ignores this. Watch my question to Angela Rayner 👇
The 1940s-themed restaurant and tea rooms is now open at the Bell Hotel in Hoddesdon. Now is it jam or cream first? 😬

Thank you for having me @HertStortford. Good luck @JanGoodeve and Bob Cinnamon. @HertfordParty 💙

One year ago today, it was the honour of my life to be elected as the MP for Broxbourne, the place I call home. The work has only just begun -sign up to my newsletter to stay up to date 👉 lewiscocking.uk/newsletter
☀️ After a busy week in Westminster it’s nice to get outside in the sunshine with @BroxTories this evening speaking to constituents. 💙

I'm pleased to see this new report from @TransportCttee echo the points I've been raising as part of my campaign to reduce road delays in #Broxbourne. I will be continuing to demand the Government make changes to improve the experience of all road users.
We've published our report: Managing the impact of street works 🚧 We recommend local authorities be given new powers to limit disruption and congestion caused by street works. Learn more 👇
The chaos we saw in Parliament yesterday was embarrassing for Labour. But when the Chancellor inevitably raises taxes this Autumn, it will be working people across the country who suffer.
'The decisions do have a financial consequence' Cabinet Office minister Pat McFadden told #BBCBreakfast the changes to the welfare bill will have an impact on the Government's budget - as the Institute for Fiscal Studies warned the concessions are 'likely' to lead to tax rises…
From tax rises to red tape, small businesses face far too many barriers to grow. I'm calling on the Government to listen to the concerns of business owners and bring common sense into the rules. Thanks to @PeterABedford for bringing this important issue to Parliament.
🇬🇧 Our world-class servicemen and women work tirelessly to defend the UK and protect us day in, day out. On #ArmedForcesDay, we recognise, celebrate and thank them for their bravery and selflessness.

No better way to start the weekend off than with my local @parkrunUK at Barclay Park. 🌳🏃♂️🥵 #loveparkrun
