I called a new mum to congratulate her on the arrival of her baby. I asked how the baby was, she said the baby is so quiet and has been sleeping. He slept for 8 hours and they were glad he was such a gentle child. I screamed! That child was obviously hypoglycaemic.
Nobody is your friend. Just do your thing, live your life, and move! It's not a new lesson, though, learnt that the hard way during residency "patient's relatives and patients are not your friends" once you understand this, you cannot be betrayed.
So, what did you learn from Twitter this week?
"We turned out just fine" NO, we didn't, we are now a bunch of adults that throw tantrums when things don't go our way. The tantrum you should have thrown as a child was beaten/threatened out of your life. Just fine? No, you are traumatized Don't transfer the trauma to your kids
Dear @Tunde_OD, thank you very much for all you do for the #NigerianChild💯 There is yet another group of children affected by a disease condition called #Noma, and I see them every week. • Out of 10 children that are affected, 8 would die if nothing is done😪 • In some…
All these will be seen in the first few steps of general examination. If you do your examination right, you'd find it. Quit blaming the department for your shortcoming. Ótitó! It is ok to hate the department for no reason, but if you'd have to give a reason, let it be solid! 😊
Just remembered that the patient in our Paeds OSCE had jaundice, pallor, dehydration, measles and finger clubbing 😭 and we're supposed to pick all that in what? 3 mins examination? If the morning says it will be well with that dept surely the night cannot agree
He who feeds you controls you- Thomas Sankara et al
You see ehn!
Being a reg or SR must be so annoying sometimes lmao. Imagine you just want to take a nap and a bunch of med students are trying to present their recycled slides to you for the 20th time in a month😭
You meet a 2 year old with this. What is the first thing that comes to your mind?

My daughter saw a skeleton and called it a robot. I should have allowed it, but I tried to explain to her that it is called a skeleton, and it is in her body. With that, I opened a can of worms. How do I explain this to my 3 year old now?
If your child is graduating from nursery school this period, congratulations on. I really wonder how we got to the point of 'graduating' pupils from nursery 2 to primary 1. Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous? What are your thoughts?
Quinine syrup (compounded) Very terrible-tasting stuff
What medicine traumatized you as a child? Be honest.
This kind of update!🥲
A lady with an IUD Just found out she’s 33 weeks pregnant😭😭 like, not only did she get pregnant on birth control, it was also cryptic for months😭😭😭😭 and when we do scans they can’t see her IUD anymore😭😭😭
Congratulations!
It's been 10 years of making sure that the average African is empowered medically using art as a medium. That's my motivation. Actually lives impacted. We are just getting started. Stay tuned.
May you marry a kind person! May you marry right! May you marry someone with sense! May sense not depart from your partner after the wedding!
As irrelevant as some of the tweets about labour and pregnancy may seem on the timeline, I feel compelled to add my two cents tho nobody send me Here’s the truth: no man who has ever stepped foot into a labour room with his partner would dare to say half the nonsense some of you…

The earlier you start brushing the tooth/teeth, the better. Once a tooth crowns and appears, start brushing it! Make it a routine and fun, such that the child would be used to it.
When did you start brushing your baby's teeth? You should start brushing your baby’s teeth as soon as the first tooth appears to help remove plaque and keep their mouth healthy. Before teeth come in, gently clean their gums daily with a soft washcloth or clean gauze dipped in…
Ayoade and I are baking bread and meatpie today. We will share the results later. Wish us the very best!
