IF they end up getting swept this series, I’m close to just wrapping up the division hope. You can’t go 0-7 against a direct division competitor. Don’t think they’ll get swept but I’m not gonna rule anything out.
Not being able to win games in Toronto is so frustrating. There’s a good chance they’ll lose the AL East because of these games. Just whiffed on every chance to beat the Jays and take control of the division. Gross.
Everything that could go wrong is going wrong. Just an insane game and series. These mistakes have basically given the Jays life in every game.
2025 New York Yankees Spray Data Desperately need Anthony Volpe to start pulling the ball more. Out of 157 qualified hitters, he ranks: 143rd in Pull % 20th in Straightaway % 30th in Oppo % He doesn’t have the power to have success hitting his barrels to dead CF.

That’s such a massive win. Ben Rice with a clutch home run and Luke Weaver + Devin Williams were incredible in relief.
Skip to the 50 second mark. One of the most disgraceful questions / phrasings I’ve ever from a media member.
A play I have to make there. - Oswald Peraza on the fifth inning
Positivity FC: Win the next two and the Jays have 4 road games against Detroit this weekend. Maybe it’s unrealistic, maybe it won’t happen, but ending the night on positivity folks.
I think pitching needs to be addressed firstly but Oswald Peraza needs to go too. Out of 314 players with 150+ PA in 2025: .150 AVG (314th) .212 OBP (314th) .242 SLG (314th) .457 OPS (314th) 27 wRC+ (313th) -0.5 fWAR (296th) The defense doesn’t make up for this.

Eventually, I’d really like the Yankees to make Toronto pay for intentionally walking Aaron Judge. Can’t afford a down series from the team offensively.
FWIW, this is why I really don’t have concerns about Eugenio Suarez possibly fitting in at Yankee Stadium. He has elite power and Yankee Stadium is pretty neutral for right-handed pull hitters at its standard.
His opposite field rate is generally fine, as RHH have a .947 OPS going the other way at Yankee Stadium in StatCast era. CF at Yankee Stadium is a death zone for baseballs, as RHH have a .704 OPS going to dead center in StatCast era (ranks 28th out of 30 parks).
We are witnessing the greatest right-handed hitter ever. Aaron Judge is truly unmatched.
