When #YorkHouseY2 smallholding club were asked if they wanted to go out in the rain this afternoon there was an overwhelming "YES!" Waterproofs on we visited the muddy pigs and kept the chickens dry under the shelters @YorkHouseSch

A very busy outdoor explorers club this afternoon with #YorkHouseReception. Firstly we foraged for dandelions and chestnuts for the animals, then quietly visited the hedgehogs and finally had their first time in with the chickens and rabbit @YorkHouseSch #smallholding

The pupils are allowed to visit the hedgehogs, understanding the importance of not handling them, allowing them to become wild hedgehogs once again. #YorkHouseY2 smallholding club had a look and prepared their feed for once they wake at dusk @YorkHouseSch
