The first time I read Ibsen's Stockmann, it felt so exaggerated... so hyperbolic that human beings could be so tribal. But the more I live and observe his politics, the more I realize that man is seldom rational. Free thinker is such an oxymoron.

Stay away from ideologies that teach you that one demographic is the root of all your problems. They're all toxic and full of losers and miserable souls.
Many people are terrible at 'connecting dots' meaning they can identify individual issues but struggle to understand how they are connected. So, they'll complain about a problem but also support the things that create and propagate it.
