Presenting a poster with my PhD work today at the #Microbio25 organised by @MicrobioSoc, very exited to share my research! Please come talk to me (I’m poster A048) at the poster session you are interested in transcription initiation 😊

Our new findings on how the ribosome couples with the RNA polymerase are summarized in a movie highlighting the dynamics of the process🎞️🎥 Thanks to Clemens Bretscher for the great animations! - behance.net/cbretscher @embl paper in @biorxivpreprint biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Excited to share our FIRST @biorxivpreprint of the lab all done by SuperScientist Nussi Qureshi! We see how single ribosomes slow down upon colliding into RNA polymerase and that they activate RNAP via long-range physical coupling! Check it out! @embl biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Today I became Dr. Ksenia! 🥳 Thanks a lot to my PI Dave Grainger, Steve Busby and all Grainger group @GraingerLab It was awesome experience, best 4 years of PhD I could ever imagine 💫 And thanks to @JessicaMABlair and Yulia Yuzenkova for a wonderful viva 🙌🏻 @IMIBirmingham

Was very glad to present my PhD research today at the @MicrobioSoc #MicroBio24 Thanks everyone who came today to see my poster, it was amazing to have such in depth discussions with you!

Great talk by @GraingerLab at the #microbio24 about H-NS protein and its impact on transposons insertions in A. baumannii, organised by @MicrobioSoc

Finally arrived at Edinburgh for #Microbio24 organised by @MicrobioSoc ✨ Will give a poster presentation (B026, Wednesday session) about activation of bacterial flagella biosynthesis when antibiotic comes around! Please pop by, will be happy to have a chat 😊

Had a lovely time presenting my research at the 35th RNAP workshop this week with @GraingerLab! Thanks @AchillesKap to organise it in @KavliOxford

My last day as a demonstrator 💔 was very happy to support students almost 3 years while doing my PhD I’m gonna miss practicals, all students were incredible, learnt so much from them and teaching them was so much fun!

We built 20 pioreactors today in preparation for our fermentation project next two weeks. Many thanks to all demonstrators and teaching lab staff at @UoBbiosciences
My first talk this year that happened yesterday at the IMI Cross Collage Day 🥳

First day of writing retreat, met so many young and ambitious researches from our college! Thanks to @LES_UniBham for organising it and selecting my application and also a big thanks to Dr. Marcella for hosting us all ✨

Found out that students that I’ve been supervising for their dissertation got 84 and 72 out of 100 for their practical project! I am very happy and proud, it was a real pleasure working with them 😊
Finished supervising my first UG project last week. I think I’ve learned about myself as much as my students learned about an effect of MarA on the murein lipoprotein during the last two months 😅 I enjoyed every second working with those driven, smart and hardworking people ✨
