UK government interest on debt £16.4bn in June vs revenues of £86.8bn or 18.9%. US government interest on debt $144bn vs revenues of $526bn or 27.4%. Strange no one mentions this when denigrating the UK governments performance.
Its a strange old world isn't it: theguardian.com/us-news/2025/j…
Looks like China will escape much of the US tariff impacts: theguardian.com/business/2025/…
So it went something like this: "Just put the neuralink on me and hook Grok up to my brain." "I don't think that's a good..." "You're fired, now you do it" "OK boss!"
I missed Grok having it's Nazi turn. But I did ask it a simple physics question with incomplete information and mixed units. It retrieved the information to solve the problem and did a good job - impressed.
Look, quantitative tightening is costing the UK £100bn and taking funds out of the government coffers at a tough time, it's crazy isn't it? Reduce it by 50% - that is £50bn headroom. @RachelReevesMP @Keir_Starmer
Just to remind everyone, this was what Brexit was supposed to deliver - the same unicorns and rainbows wor Nige is offering now... reaction.life/p/britain-look…
a) They repeat it every week and can justify it b) I would think most people have, not business owners or those with kids in private school but most people c) Unemployment up marginally, gilts trending downwards - the markets liked Reeves's package more than you!

Gilts trending downwards - surely all the right wing commentators will be joining me to congratulate RR on a job well done?

Its a small thing but I just won a 3 v 5 game of LOL with my son. Zoe left 9 min, Lux 11 min. Trundle top pushed his lane and just focused on invading base while we created a threat, then my son (Twitch) did a sneak mission for the win. I don't think it will ever get better!
No Doubt X is awash with people congratulating the current government on swiftly doing a deal to avoid these tariffs?

Just found this old 200 char story on war: Combatbots swarmed across the battlefield. Titanic struggle, terrible carnage, worse than the Somme, orders of some “general” back home. But were they alive before their metal limbs scattered like bones?
Its really working - very stable genius in control. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Its weird, because today I thought my timeline would be crowded with people congratulating the government on outperforming GDP expectations again... Instead tumbleweed and crickets!
