On Tuesday, Postgraduate Associates, Skylar Bartush and Mona Sinha, represented XR Pediatrics at the 2024 School Based Health Centers Conference, showcasing our nicotine and marijuana vaping prevention intervention, Invite Only VR: reHASHED.

Dr. Kanu Priya Singh and Dr. Deepa Camenga attended Society For Prevention Research (SPR) 32nd Annual Meeting in DC! We presented early findings from Invite Only VR (a vaping prevention videogame), discussing teachers’ perceptions of students’ vaping behavior in CT schools!

Co-Director of XRPeds, Dr. Kimberly Hieftje, joins the panel of speakers for the @greaternhchamber's event "The Future is Now: Tech Tools in Training and Patient Care" on April 23rd, hosted by Southern Connecticut State University.

This Sunday, Associate Director of XRPeds, Dr. Veronica Weser, joins Drs. Kristyn Beam (Harvard) and Mark R. Mercurio (Yale) in a panel titled, "Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies in Pediatric Research" at the Eastern Society for Pediatric Research Conference.

We had a fantastic time hosting Dr. Terika McCall's Master's students for their User-Centered Design of Digital Health Tools course! During their visit, students explored how immersive technology is applied in mental health and education through our lab's various projects.

Dr. Kimberly Hieftje, Co-Director of XRPeds, shared her emotional story describing the feeling of grief after the loss of a child during the Pediatric Grand Rounds. Her experiences inspired the creation of her game, Year of the Cicadas.
