I’ve said this before and I will say it again: If eating meat *could* affect the environment to the degree that the earth would be in danger of burning up, I would use the flames as the planet dies a fiery death to sear a ribeye medium-rare in one last stubbornly rebellious meal.
I'm writing on the testimonies of children in witch trials. There are four main views: children are playing make-believe; they say what adults want to hear desiring approval; they lie to gain control; they are manipulated by adults to say what they want to hear. What say you?
Mirrors my experience with people complaining about high local taxes. They vote ‘yes’ on every levy on every ballot and then complain that their taxes keep increasing.
when i was a real estate broker it was amazing how many people didnt even read through the HOA docs if there was an HOA. Its buyer beware, id point out concerns i had but most people DID NOT CARE. then they complain afterwards. this is how we have this government.

Also, just talked to my friend the farmer’s wife today. I guess the corn is in lovin’ the hot, humid weather in Illinois. (Calm down, corn!) As a long-time advocate of conventional farming, this video hits on why organic and buying local is actually less sustainable.
Organic farming is hard to scale. It requires far more land to produce the same amount of food as conventional agriculture. For many crops, it produces higher greenhouse gas emissions. And it almost always makes food more expensive.
