I've said for years that rural communities should be thinking about terrorist attacks. Rural communities have limited budgets, limited police, and limited resources. Small towns around America have fairs and street festivals all summer long, be vigilant.

I like to think I have the credentials to claim good instincts on this stuff. None of these discoveries/disclosures/facts feel like the organic sleuthing of past situations. I think people are getting sold a story and theres a clumsy but notable attempt to ape our methods.
