Rain at Saratoga has quieted down but the damage is already done. Maybe they keep the stake on the turf, but most are coming off. Just another day in paradise.

Even driving through some of the side streets near the track are flooded.

As of now NYRA still saying the races are on the turf. I'm looking for a futures bet that that most if not all will be taken off.

The main track at Saratoga is a sea of slop as I am being drenched. If the rain continues to come down like it has been doing for the last 45 minutes, they might as well have canoe races not horses running over this track. Can't imagine running over a boggy turf course.

There's zero chance the main track will not be sloppy at Saratoga today and most if not all turf races will be switched to the main track. If I'm right, wait until you see the number of late scratches.

Saratoga racing has become a diluted product. Obviously better than Belmont@Aqueduct but not nearly the same as in past years. Money is still good as an owner but as a bettor, UGH in many races especially if it rains and the races come off the turf.

Handle at Saratoga been way down first 2 days. Expect the same on Saturday with lots of late scratches expected and a likely decimated card. I will have to make a lot of adjustments to the Wizard's Betting Window, but that's the beauty of that product at wizardraceandsports.com

Absolutely pouring buckets at Saratoga. Sitting at Starbucks finishing up Sunday's card and cannot believe how hard it's coming down. Cannot envision anything short of a sloppy track and turf races coming off. Maybe a stake stays on but not if the rain doesn't stop soon.
