One silver lining to this heat is that the body quickly inures. Mon was ridiculous b/c it was Day 1. Hoo boy, I was hurting. Day 2 was equally hot, but felt better. Today, it was like 90 degrees & a smidge less humid, and it felt like it was 70 and breezy.
Picked up my son at camp next to Nats stadium ... & everyone was a goth teenager wearing too little clothing. The boyband "Stray Kids" are in town. I think the concert was in hours, & they're all waiting. It's like 200 degrees outside, mind you. I hope city brings some water.

Fred Smith, RIP. Never met him, but hat's off to anyone who forever changes global commerce. For some reason, his origin story was something a lot of young people knew back in the 90s (i.e., that his idea for FedEx got a C- when he pitched it at business school).
