Why Not Warriors
@WhyNotWarriors
A lifelong Redskins fan crusading for the Washington Commanders to replace their awful name with something that connects with the past. #WhyNotWarriors
AN OPEN LETTER TO JOSH HARRIS Dear Mr. Harris, The change of football ownership in Washington gave us a lot of hope. A rich, historic franchise was sullied by a flawed ownership, greed and hatred, and a politicized agenda. (1/10)
A lot of people have said that money was the main factor in the original name change to @Commanders. It is time for the team and sponsors to be honest about this failed experiment. Raise more revenue by honoring the past. commanderswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/n…
Guaranteed that sales would be higher with old logo and old name. The question is does DC want to make more revenue or less?
Bringing the Commanders home is about more than a stadium. It's about creating jobs, attracting revenue, and driving investment to Ward 7—and it's coming at time when we need it the most. Let's get this done for DC.
Did you know that Anheuser-Busch is a major sponsor or partner for: - Kansas City Chiefs - Atlanta Braves - Chicago Blackhawks - Washington Commanders Hmmmm . . . supporting Redskins would just be business as usual.
The last few days have revealed the insincerity of the 2020 name change. A mayor and council member affirm that they would be okay with a change back to Redskins. A congressional staffer confirms that sponsors have no problem with the logo. More to come . . . #HTTR
86% of the respondents of this poll would not be bothered by a return to Redskins. 14% of them have embraced the @Commanders name. And here we are 5 years later . . . We are the Charlotte Bobcats of the NFL.
Our @DrinkSurfside poll of the day: do you want the Commanders to change their name back to the Redskins?
It looks like Mayor Bowser feels like many do. It’s all about the money. If the city will benefit financially, why oppose the return to Redskins.
NEW: Mayor Bowser sidestepped questions about level concern over Trump threat to kill RFK stadium deal if team didn’t go back to old name, saying only DC Council needs to act. When I asked if she would withdraw support for DC stadium if Redskins name returned, Mayor said “No.”

Set your Alarms, DVR's or call in sick to work 😂. Monday Morning somewhere between 7-7:30 am CST Jason Buck will be on @foxandfriends on @FoxNews. As always times and days can change but we will definitely keep you posted! @POTUS @realDonaldTrump @topfans #FoxNews…
It is great to hear from a journalist who is not afraid to state the obvious.
Rick Snider’s Washington says Donald Trump is right - bring back the Washington Redskins. Gimme two minutes.
👇10 years ago this month If you are saying President Trump is out of line today re: RFK Stadium AND said the same thing about President Obama, we’re cool. If you’re not being consistent though… latimes.com/sports/sportsn…
A CHALLENGE TO @JPFinlayNBCS, @NickiJhabvala, @john_keim, @Russellmania621, @Commanders, and others. Put out a survey asking this question to Washington football fans and then post the results: Do you prefer Commanders or Redskins? Don’t fear the truth.
Before you say President Trump made it political, remember that it was first made political in 2020. He is just stating what the majority of fans feel. breitbart.com/sports/2025/07…
The more on the "Change the Name" bandwagon, the merrier. One day, Josh Harris will get on it too. foxnews.com/sports/super-b…
The Art Monk number retirement and new uniforms are telling the world something obvious. I hope the @Commanders and the ownership can see it.
Actually 2 Washington Legends prominent in this pic. “It made us all so proud to have an Indian on a big-time team.” Blackie Wetzel of the Blackfeet Nation who, in partnership with George Allen, inspired the iconic Native American logo.
Wishing a very happy birthday to Chris Cooley! 🧁
Chief Walt Redhawk Brown from the Cheroenhaka Indian Nation: "I look at the name Redskins as a tribute to my people... there's been a tendency to negate out Native American public identity... the name Redskin keeps it alive..."
