I cover my favorite songwriters because I admire their writing! Translate by Zone Fam, Anajaila by Kekero, Take by Heart by Chali Bravo… These writers have a way with words I wish I had. Legends in their own right but Uncle Gift isn’t known by many yet he’s amongst my favorites!
There’s a great Zambian songwriter unknown to many. Gift Mwenda. 5 years ago, he called asking to collaborate on a song. We did it. I was fascinated by the fact that he does music for fun! He is passionate. I listened to stuff he has made over the years & was like what? 🙌🏿 talent
