I-471 Update: As part of ongoing efforts to help you navigate the closure of I-471, we’ve changed the signs and striping at Johnny Bench Way and Broadway/Pete Rose Way to allow a dual left turn. This will allow more vehicles to get to the Taylor Southgate Bridge more quickly.

To prioritize safety downtown, Red Bike agreed to the City’s request to close stations in OTR & Central Business District this weekend. The City is also restricting the use of rental e-scooters in those areas. This suspension will be in effect 8pm-6am this Thurs-Sat. evenings.

Tonight, and into this weekend, Smale, Yeatman’s Cove & Sawyer Point will be closed due to rapidly rising floodwaters. Please stay out of the area for your safety. South of Mehring from Central Ave to the Boathouse will be filled with debris, unsafe and fast-moving floodwaters.

🚦 In 2024, we completed 64 traffic calming & pedestrian safety projects across 28 neighborhoods—adding speed humps and cushions, curb extensions, raised crosswalks and more in an effort to slow traffic and keep pedestrians safe. 🚧 More projects coming in Summer/Fall 2025!
