We really don’t understand the power of prayer. Even the most powerful men in the world can’t have everything they want. But through prayer, we receive not only whatever we ask for that is good for us, but even better things: virtues, spiritual gifts, trials and persecutions.
I was greatly saddened to hear the news about Laura. Despite all our disagreements, I would never wish this kind of tragedy on my worst enemies, let alone fellow Catholics. I pray that Laura may be healed from her cancer and that the Horn family may have peace at this time.
