I Have An Idea Instead of forming a third party, why don’t we organize to get voter ID on the ballot in every state that allows a citizen-initiated petition. Use the millions — that would go to a new party — to ensure fair elections, which would deliver countless seats.
The last thing I’ll say on creating a third party for a little while is people are thinking backwards. It’s not about having a small minority to deliver results; the only pathway forward is a strong, overwhelming majority. 2-3 seats won’t make a difference; 20-30 will.
By the way, if folks spent a few million registering 50,000 voters in New Mexico — as opposed to creating a 3rd party — the state flips red. Either 50,000 new 🟥 Or 25,000 🟦🔜🟥 Offense + defense.
