The Southern Altai mountains really are so beautiful

...and I learned that there is a lot of sand in the Gobi.
We made it! We made it to the top of the largest sand dune in the Gobi desert - 250m tall! It was one step up, 9/10ths of a slide back down. By the time we approached the summit nearly 3 hours later, we were literally crawling up the dune. But oh the view...
