No sympathy with Inter Miami’s complaints over here. All Messi (and Alba) had to do was withdraw before *the morning of the game* so MLS could name a replacement. Instead, they denied their fellow players the opportunity - and a bonus check someone paid less might have liked.

Javier Mascherano says Leo Messi is "fatigued," not hurt. That's his problem / his fault for not managing Messi's minutes better knowing he had an obligation to play the @MLS ASG midweek. The rules clearly state that Messi should be suspended. Do the right thing @thesoccerdon.

Different messaging coming out of #FCCincy than Miami this morning. Pat Noonan said they know the rules and aren’t expecting Messi and Alba to play. Also said they never considered holding Evander or Miles Robinson out and were pleased with how they represented the club.
