1/7 Here is a technical update for the latest release of the #SpatialData package from last week. We thank the core developers and contributors for helping us refine the framework, and the users for the precious feedback and discussions. GitHub repository: github.com/scverse/spatia…
The recording for today's webinar will soon be available from @EBItraining. Meanwhile here are the notebooks 🤓 github.com/PMBio/spatiald… Thanks again for inviting me and @WVierdag, and thanks to the @scverse_team for the collaborative effort in preparing the notebook.
There’s still time to join tomorrow’s #webinar about SpatialData, an #OpenAccess data framework for spatial omics. Registration is free but essential: ebi.ac.uk/training/event… #bioinformatics #datascience #omics #multiomics #transcriptomics #singlecell #spatialomics
Kicking off soon our new webinar series, "Advances in Spatial Omics: Exploring Concepts, Innovations, and Resources"! Registration is free but essential for each webinar you wish to join: ebi.ac.uk/training/searc… #bioinformatics #DataScience #SpatialOmics #singlecell #OpenAccess

Just a reminder that I will be hosting a napari code cafe today at 7pm CET. For the link, please see the forum.image.sc (forum.image.sc/t/napari-code-…) post (not allowed to post the particular zoom link here).
New to napari? Now is a great time to learn how to contribute. Join @WVierdag for another #napariCodeCafe on Jul 16 at 7pm CET! See his announcement for details: forum.image.sc/t/napari-code-… The contribution from the first café is being released with 0.5.0!
🚨 Attention all naparistas! 🚨 Announcing napari 0.5.0a4 pre-release! 🚀 napari.org/dev/release/re… 🧵👇
Is your science method reductionist or holistic? 💻👩🔬🧬 While current cross-species comparison of scRNA-seq data methods are reductional, we explored how a holistic view can tell us more by examining the implicit hypothesis and using Knowledge Graphs ⬇️ t.ly/bty7R
We celebrate the end of our three-day 🚀hackathon🚀 on spatial omics tools and methods in #Ghent #Belgium. A big thanks to all of the researchers across Europe. Check out our final slide deck and code! docs.google.com/presentation/d… github.com/saeyslab/VIB_H… #SpatialOmics24
6 years ago to the minute 🥳🎂, napari co-founder @loicaroyer made the 1st commit to the “napari-core” repo. github.com/napari/napari-… Since then, over 150 community members have contributed to the napari code, docs, & tooling, and over 400 plugins have been developed. #napariAt6
Announcing our new and stable release of Segment Anything for Microscopy! We introduce new features and improve the tool to segment microscopy data with a few clicks, like the mitochondria in the video, first segmented automatically and then corrected interactively.
And to be clear this isn't just @ProjectJupyter , the whole scientific python ecosystem is in an even more brittle state. There are millions of dollars flowing into research/education efforts that *use* them, but almost nothing flowing to the projects themselves.
Excited to announce the first #scverse conference! Looking forward to meeting the community of users and developers 😊
Exciting news for the Python Single-Cell Community! Save the date for the first scverse conference in Munich from September 10-12. Inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. Stay tuned for the registrations, speaker announcements, and more! #scverse2024
Excited that SpatialData is out @naturemethods! With @OliverStegle & @notjustmoore labs, we introduce & implement a dataframework & fileformat for multimodal spatial omics, based on the @openmicroscopy standard. Read at nature.com/articles/s4159… & try here spatialdata.scverse.org.
Curious about contributing to napari? Core developer @WVierdag is leading our all-new napari code cafés! (™️) The first one is this Wednesday at 8pm CET (Paris) time. Improve our screenshots to be pixel perfect, or turn your own idea into reality! Details: forum.image.sc/t/napari-code-…
The white paper on “Harmonizing the Generation and Pre-publication Stewardship of FAIR Image Data” coordinated by @BioimagingNA, in collaboration with members of the bioimaging community from across the world 🌎🌍🌏, is available now! 👀 Check it out! 🔬 arxiv.org/abs/2401.13022
Hello naparistas! We are proud/relieved to announce the release of napari 0.4.19! 😅🥳 Back in August @Czaki_PL was like “I think we should make a quick bug-fix release post 0.4.18”… 6 months later… 😅 #FOSS #OpenSource
