Director: How are we going to get people excited to ride this? Writer: I’ve got it! “Massive. Wedge-shaped. Practical.” Director: Nailed it!
I may get sentimental over old WDW elements, but here are two I was happy to see leave. Though, it’s nice to hear a more reasonably scaled hat will go over to Animation Courtyard.

Under-appreciated arch. If you worked at Disney-MGM, you knew what it meant to you and your fellow Studios CMs.
Originally built to delineate where the theme park ended and the working studios began, this archway has lost a bit of its history over time.
They finally announced the Animation Tour update. Been long in the works and I’m here for it. With the new Mermaid show, & Animation tour, hopefully it will bring an element of “studios” back into the park.
Went through some of my Pana Vue slides and found some real gems.

Journey into Imagination was my first “Attractions” job at WDW. Nothing beat walking the track at night after closing, sitting on the roof during Illuminations/25 (A), which was highly against the rules, & hanging out in the Imageworks atrium after park close.

When I think about EPCOT Center, this is what comes to mind. Such a classic look for what was a classic park.

My friend recently shared these pics of me performing in Tapestry of Nations. Being able to combine my love for music and Disney was a highlight of working there, as I was able to drum in many shows around property. Tap was a dream come true.

Staying on the EPCOT Center nostalgia tour train a little longer, this picture is so great for so many reasons. For one, the angle of the shot, with the sun shining off of SSE, so nice. And the unfinished areas, which give off this “we just begun to dream” vibe.

So much vibe in this shot from early EPCOT Center days.

More great shots of EPCOT Center back in the day. Not sure where I grabbed this pic, but looks like late ‘89, early ‘90s? Looks like Boardwalk may not be there yet.
