1/4 🎈Now on display at our temporary exhibition “Listen” in Linköping, Sweden, Aisha’s Story is part of the WCM collection highlighting the lived experiences of Palestinian children.

Deeply moved by my visit to War Childhood Museum @WCMsarajevo and meeting civil society representatives. Their work is essential to bridging divides, empowering women and youth and advancing lasting peace.
As we mark 30 years since the #SrebrenicaGenocide, the boy and girl in the WCM’s logo wear the Srebrenica flower. On the Museum’s website, we have published a short documentary featuring testimonies of people who survived the genocide as children. Visit: shorturl.at/2Cr0M

4/4 We continue to document and share the stories of children and childhoods affected by war—with the hope that listening will lead to greater understanding, accountability, and action to protect children everywhere.
3/4 Since October 2023, we have been exhibiting stories from our Gaza collection in our permanent and temporary exhibitions, at the events we participate in, and on our online channels.
2/4 Documented by Aisha’s teacher at an elementary school in Gaza, her story was recorded before the current, devastating escalation of violence that continues to claim the lives of countless children. We have no current information about Aisha or her whereabouts.

Thanks again to @WCMsarajevo for the talk about all of the amazing things you are doing globally to research war childhood – @NCL_Geography students get so much out of seeing human stories of war rather than thinking in terms of numbers and statistics
