Muslims from Pakistan, Somalia, etc. are not fleeing to the west. Almost no one is fleeing to the west. They check “fleeing” on a form because you’ve said they can enter if they do, but that doesn’t make it true. The popular word is the right one: They are migrants. They migrate.
